Synopsis: Frances is a best-selling romance author and on her way to a ten day retreat at an elite health resort. She’s had a tough few months, and she’s in need of a reset. Although the owner of the resort has a few odd rules and Frances is a bit uneasy, she decides to give it a go. As things get a bit stranger, Frances and the other guests begin to wonder if they should have turned around as soon as they arrived.
Thoughts: I enjoyed this! It took me a bit longer to get into it than I expected, but once it got rolling, I had a difficult time putting it down. The characters are well developed, as she is a master at crafting characters. Moriarty unfolded the main story and the characters’ stories at a fun pace. There weren’t deep insights into human nature or anything, just a fun read! There were some really unbelievable moments, but I think that’s why it was such a fun read.
